Julie Koeninger ’81, TU’85, has built a dynamic and meaningful career by following her curiosity and embracing change. An English major who began on a pre-med track, Julie ultimately earned her MBA at Tuck and carved out a distinguished path in finance and sustainable agricultural investing. She takes pride in helping others see that it’s possible to feed the world responsibly—balancing sustainability, profitability, and purpose—while also mentoring women entering the field. At home in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Julie and her husband raised three sons close in age, an experience she describes as both chaotic and deeply rewarding. Now in a new phase of life, she’s reflecting on the joy of watching her children grow and looking forward to her next adventure. Her advice to young people is to stay open to possibility: don’t get locked into a single idea of success, because life’s most fulfilling opportunities often come from unexpected directions.
